One of my favorite songs to listen to is “Be Blessed” by Yolanda Adams. In this song, there is one line that really stands out – Don’t let your tomorrow be like yesterday.
Wow.
Think about that for a minute.
God is calling us to be brand new. I mean really brand new. He is calling us to let go our past mistakes, failures and habits to be all that He desires us to be.
God is also calling us to remove ourselves from people, things or choices that will not bring Him glory.
This means it is time to make difficult decisions.
You know, the ones that have been tugging at your heart.
God is not looking for lukewarm Christians – He is seeking those who are on fire for Him. Ones who are the same in the dark as in the light.
It is when we are in this place that He takes us to new heights!
Are you ready to move from your past? Are you ready to be the chosen people that God has called you to be?
This can only be done by surrendering your life to Him. I mean really surrendering your life to Him. Not in just mere words but in action.
Action to pray more.
Action to study His Word more.
Action to be obedient and live more for Him!
And yes, I know sometimes it isn’t easy. Sometimes the devil will tell us we are losing so much. But this is not the case. When we fully surrender to His will and way, God can do so much for us then we can ever do for ourselves.
So are you ready to let go?
Do you want a better future than your past?
This can only be done by being the man or woman that God has truly called you to be!
And in this place, your tomorrow will be so much better than your yesterday!
