In Luke 18:35-43, we are introduced to a blind man sitting by the roadside begging. When he heard the multitude passing by, he asked someone what was going on. They informed him that Jesus Christ of Nazareth was passing by.
Cry out to Him
In this passage, the man began to cry out to the Lord. He was determined to get Jesus’ attention. What will you do to get God to notice you? When we are facing illnesses or our bodies have been threatened with a disease, we have to begin to cry out to the One who is able to hear us. There were many around Jesus who instructed him to be quiet but he ignored them and kept crying out to the Lord. Are there people in your life who are telling you it won’t work? That it is impossible? Well it is in these times you have to get a little louder! More importantly, we have to declare healing scriptures over ourselves and loved ones.
Ask for His mercy
God is a compassionate God and He will have mercy on you. This man knew if he began to ask God for His mercy that He would give it to him. He called out not once but twice. He says in His Word His mercy is new every single day. Begin this day expecting His mercy and grace to see you to your healing The Lord has for you.
Be specific
Many times when we pray, we may say God just bless or heal me. However, one thing we learn from this scripture is that God asked him specifically, “What would you have me do for you?” Well, God is asking the same question to you this today. Tell Him specifically what you need. He is a compassionate God and He promises in His Word, He is a helper to those who seek Him.
Prayer: Father God, we come today with a specific need of healing. In your Word you tell us by your stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). You also tells us that You will bring about health and cure (Jeremiah 33:6). We stand on your Word. We reject bad reports and know that it is Your will that we are healed. We thank You that we have authority over every sickness and disease and we cancel and nullify according to your Word In Jesus Christ of Nazareth, Amen.
Remember, God is waiting on you!
