I can recall a time when I needed to testify against someone. I remember the days leading up to the court case; I was anxious and fearful. I did not want to testify because I feared retaliation and was just fearful overall. As such, I decided I was not going to do it.
I remember praying about it and God reassuring me I would be victorious. So, I stepped out on faith and did it anyway. On that day, not only did God show up, but I also had victory! My mere presence and a short statement were the key to winning the case! I did not have to testify; I could merely show up and trust God!
And in that moment, I realized God showed up for me.
God commands us not to fear, and He means it. He promises in His Word to go before us and make the crooked places straight (Isaiah 45:2). His promises are not empty words, but a source of hope and reassurance. But the reality is – we have to let go of fear and place our trust in God.
I want to challenge you today – “Do not fear!” God promises He will be on the other side.
Whatever you are fearful of, turn it over to God. For that issue that may keep you up at night, know that God can (and will) deliver you from all your distress. Take time to read scriptures that will not only comfort you but also equip you to overcome your fears.
Still, trying to figure out where to start? I have you covered. Here is a list of scriptures to help you win every time.
Remember, God is waiting for you!
