When life comes at you fast, as sometimes it does. You have to understand that God is still in control. He is the author and finisher over our faith (Hebrews 12:2). While your situation may have caught you by surprise, it did not catch God by surprise!
God states in His Word that even before you were born, He knew you (Jeremiah 1:5). Therefore, He knew each day that you would encounter. He also knew each success and failure you may experience.
It will work out
But get this – He says all things will work together for good for those who love Him and are called to His purpose (Romans 8:28)! Therefore, whatever you are experiencing can be used for good!
I am from New Orleans. It is a place that is famous for its gumbo. And if you ever had the pleasure of cooking gumbo, you will know the ingredients by itself may not be so tasty. However, when you place it all together, something magical happens!
Trust God
This is no different in our lives.
You may be experiencing a season where you fully do not understand the direction God is taking you. However, you have to continue to trust God. He tells us in Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and He shall direct thy paths.”
More importantly, don’t give up.
- Pray consistently daily concerning your problems (Luke 18:1).
- Ask for God’s wisdom concerning what to do (James 1:5)
- Seek Him first before seeking the help of others (Matthew 6:33)
When you take these steps, I promise your test will turn into a testimony!
Remember, God is waiting on you!
