Only light can drive out our dark past and sins, and that light is Jesus Christ. He is the light of the world (1 John 1:7).
In life, you may experience struggles of darkness and challenging times.
Whether it is the struggle to be the person, God has called you to be or understand your God-given path.
No matter what you face, you need to know that He can set you free from the darkness.
He is your light.
He is your power.
He is your internal source.
He can drive out your darkness.
We remain in darkness without the truth (His Word) and understanding of who Jesus Christ is.
It is amazing once we turn our lives to Jesus Christ, we begin to see the light in places that were once dark. He opens our eyes to specific situations and habits that don’t please Him.
It is then–and only then–an actual change takes place. That’s the great thing about Him. He can shine light and drive out the darkness in our lives.
But we first must invite Him in.
We have to turn from the world and things of the world. We must commit no longer to going to certain places or doing some things. We must now move into a place where His light guides our path and lives.
We must understand that He is the light of the world, and nothing can take the place of Him – the Great I Am!

Jesus Christ says, “I AM the light of the world…”

Prayer Starter: Father God, I come to You and worship You in spirit and truth! I praise and thank You for everything! Thank you for coming into my life and being the Great I AM. You say in Your Word that You are the light of the world. For this reason, I ask that You shine Your light upon me. Please make all of the crooked places straight in my life. Please instruct me where I should go and what I am required to do. Let Your light shine upon me so that I can glorify You.
