#1 Ask God to show you true love (John 3:16)
God loved us so much that He sent His one and only son to die for us. God only desires that we experience true love here on Earth. Detach yourself from any relationship that doesn’t demonstrate true love.
#2 Learn to love yourself more (Psalm 139:15)
When you truly learn to love yourself, you will not allow anyone to mistreat or misuse you. God tells us that we are fearfully and wonderfully made. You have to believe this. More importantly, you have to stay connected to relationships that will respect your worth. And remember, everyone isn’t a good “fit” for your life.
#3 Declare that God wants only the best for you! (John 15)
God only wants the best for you. So much so, that He will cut off any branch, thing or position that is not fruitful. So when things start to go different than planned, thank God! He is only removing branches that no longer should be attached to your life. God will not keep you connected to anything that doesn’t meet His standards!
#4 Leave your past in the past! (Jeremiah 29:11)
No one can drive forward by looking in the rearview mirror. Well the same holds true about your past. The longer you stay connected to your past; you will not be able to obtain God’s best in front of you. You have to trust God. Also, know that your best days are ahead of you and not behind!
#5 Ask God to focus on Him not the hurt (2 Timothy 1:17)
God tells us that we have a sound and powerful mind. We have to believe that. So when your mind starts to make up lies saying “this hurts,” or “you will never getthrough this,” you have to declare immediately, “I have a sound mind!” He promises we have a sound mind in His Word, so we don’t have to focus on the hurt but we can focus on Him!
#6. You have to be still and let God (Psalm 46:10)
Don’t try to force your will on God. He is our master we are not His. As a result, there are some things He will instruct us to do and more importantly He desires us to be still, obey and surrender. When things aren’t going as planned, step back and be still. Don’t try to fight or force it. Seek His wisdom and His will through His Word. Ask God to see you through this. And I promise you, He will.
#7 This isn’t your battle (2 Chronicles 20)
Know that this didn’t happen by coincidence. God is setting you up for victory. See, you thought that you lost this battle, but God will come through. He wants you to trust that He will fight this battle for you. It could be God using this battle not only to test your faith but to show others how He will show up and show out in your life. Therefore the only way to fight is on your knees!
#8 Ask the Holy Spirit for wisdom and guidance (John 16:13)
Now, you have to remember, while there are certain things that may have just happen, some situations may have taken place due to bad choices. Why? This is because we did not seek God’s wisdom before making a decision. But we can ask God for forgiveness and request the guidance and power of the Holy Spirit to direct us in our lives.
#9 Remain quiet in your storms (Psalm 46:10)
Stop giving your problem the glory and give God the glory! You no longer have to continue to speak about your hurt to others. You simply need to give it up to God. Don’t give your problem another ounce of praise. Give it to God today!
#10 Stand in His victory (Romans 8:37)
I promise you, if you trust Him, this too will work out for your good. It will! God allowed this to happen, but He also reminds us that EVERYTHING will work out for our good! In all things we are more than conquerors!!
So, no matter where you are in life, ask God for forgiveness. Ask that He removes hurt from your heart. Envision God placing your heart in His hand and squeezing out the hurt that has hindered you from moving forward. This day declare you are moving forward, letting go and moving to the place God has ordained for your life. Let go and let God and you will see God do an amazing thing in your New Life!
