If you want to achieve victory, you have to create a vision. Not only in one area, but create a vision in all areas. In the Bible, God says you have the ability to overcome everything (Romans 8:37). Yes, everything!
There are countless scriptures that encourage creating a vision. They remind us to write our vision down and it shall come to pass (Habakkuk 2:2) and to declare and decree a thing and it will be established (Job 22:28). No matter if you want to have victory over your finances, health, relationships, you must write out your vision!
Grasping this idea early on in life, I began to write my vision for my life. I can recall outlining specific goals and applying the Word of God and God blessed my vision. I always check with Him first to make certain my will aligns with His will.
So what about you? Do you need to create a vision for your life? If so, here is a way to create a powerful and purposeful vision.
What Do You Love to Do?
Remember, God has designed a plan tailored to fit your life, so no other plan will work. There is no need to fear. God has already traveled before you to make all crooked paths straight. He has also supplied all of your needs and placed every resource on your path so that you can carry out His plan.
Take Inventory
Check in with God. Ask Him what His plan and purpose are for your life. God has put wants in your heart to guide you as you carry out your purpose and His plan. Get an understanding of what you love to do and what you simply do not enjoy. Then make a firm commitment to move your life to tasks you enjoy that can bring God glory.
Don’t Waste Your Time
After identifying your purpose, commit to it like no other. As you move forward, make a firm commitment to do what you love and associate only with those who align with God’s purpose for your life. This way God can use you as He sees fit.
Create His Vision for You
Equipped with your purpose, loves, and passion, begin to create your vision plan. Remember, Habakkuk 2:2 states “And the LORD answered me, and said, ‘Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.’ ”
Keep steadfast and continue to pray about your plan. Surrender it to the will of God’s authority and stand on Proverbs 16:9, “A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps!” And no matter your vision, big or small, know that with God nothing is impossible! I am a living witness!
