Do you recognize there is only one way to make a tough decision?
Yes, only one way.
But how do we know that one way?
How do we know what to do when the world presents us with millions of options?
When our minds are tossing from here and there?
When we have sought advice from our family and friends, social media feeds, or our favorite talk shows?
Previously, I had a tough decision to make. Understanding there is only one way God desired for me to handle the situation, I began to read 1 Kings 3.
And wow! Not only was I able to make the best decision, but also actually received a compliment from someone about the way I handled the situation!
I didn’t react without first seeking Him.
I sought God through prayer and reading His Word. I wrote the issue at the top of the page and asked God to provide me with the best solutions on paper.
And yes, God did it!
If you are not familiar with the passage, it speaks about King Solomon who was a young king. He had a vision where he requested God’s wisdom and a discerning heart to govern the people and distinguish from right and wrong (1 Kings 3:9). Delighted with his request, God not only provided him with wisdom but for things he did not ask, such as wealth and honor (1 Kings 3:13)!
So, what are you facing today?
Do you understand there is only one way to properly handle this situation? Therefore, before reacting to that email from an angry boss, an unpleasant gesture from a rude driver, a request from an employee or simply going about your day on “autopilot,” seek Him first!
You will be amazed how He not only handles your situation but how He does it over and beyond what you could ever think or imagine (Ephesians 3:20)!
Remember, God is waiting on you!
