What is the first thing you do when problems arise in your life? Do you immediately think that this problem is far too big for God? Or do you stand on the Lord’s promises that God will get you to the other side?
If you live long enough, you know that from time to time you will experience problems in your life. The Word of God tells us in John 16:33 that we will have problems, but we can be of good cheer, for He has overcome!!
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world. (John 16:33)
And because Jesus Christ has overcome – you too can overcome!
Just recently, I was speaking with a good friend. We discussed how to make Godly decisions that would honor God. I cautioned him that we are too not only make Godly decisions but also realize when we have made a Godly choice – that sometimes we may experience bumps along the way.
If we understand this, we can have the mind of not giving up when trials and tribulations come our way. But the key is – (reminding myself as I write this!!), we have to stay faithful to His promises and give God back His Word.
For instance, if you have prayed for a job, and God has blessed you with a certain job – when problems arise, don’t become discouraged or decide to quit! Find scriptures that would help you to deal with the issues at hand. More importantly – thank God for giving you great victory through His son, Jesus Christ of Nazareth! Pray for HIs wisdom and guidance that you are led by Him and not your feelings!
“Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us [a]diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.” (1 Corinthians 2:14)
Apply this process to every problem in your life! Whether it be finances, relationships, business, purpose, and more importantly, your walk with God. Know that God says in all things (not some) we are more than conquerors (Romans 8:37)!
