This morning, as I was reading my Bible, I had the opportunity to read Mark 8:23-25. It discussed a miracle performed by Jesus Christ. I asked the Holy Spirit to reveal this passage to me. More and more, it became clear to me.
It stated, Jesus spat on a blind man’s eyes and questioned whether he was able to see. The man was only able to see men as if they were trees. Then again, Jesus rubbed the man’s eyes and then he was able to see clearly!
Then again! Those words stuck out to me. Then again! Then again, Jesus rubbed his eyes!
Many times in life, we give up to easy – when the doctor says “no,” when we have one bad day, an opportunity falls through or our kids are acting a certain way. But, we must realize that our prayers are providing a constant breakthrough. Although we may not see it today, God is working on our behalf! You see, in this text, Jesus wasn’t finish with him yet and He is not finished with you.
First, the man came to him blind and then was able to see (blurry but, still he was now able to see)…that provides us with evidence there was progress taking place. Jesus knew if he touched him….. then again….he would be the man God has called him to be!
So, is there an area in your life you have given up? Are you just another touch away from your victory? Stand strong knowing these two words – “Then again!”
