No matter what you are experiencing in life, you have to remember the battle is not yours. Nothing shows us this better than 2 Chronicles 20. Jehoshaphat recognized the power of God and understood the principle of letting God fight on your behalf. He simply knew if God would fight, he would win each and every time.
Understand how powerful our God is!
He knew God was powerful. He understood there was no power or might that could withstand the power of God (v.6). Many times when the pressures of life attack us, we believe that God can do some things, but not all things. Therefore we may believe God for another job, because we witnessed Him doing this before, but failed to believe Him for a healing. We have to be reminded that God can do ALL THINGS!
Don’t doubt His Word!
Because of God’s power, He did not doubt in His faith. The key of this passage is Jehoshaphat not only trusted God in the beginning of his battle, but he trusted God in the midst. Many times we trust God when things are going well, but fail to trust Him when things aren’t not going the way we intended. But just as the scripture reminds us, simply be not afraid, but know the battle is not yours but it is God’s (v. 15).
Praise Him daily
Even while Jehoshaphat and the people were going through the battle, they gave God the ultimate praise. Are you willing to praise God even before your healing? Will you praise Him despite of? God is looking for you to praise Him right where you are. It tells us when they began to praise, God worked immediately on their behalf (v.22).
Don’t worry!
Whatever battle you are facing today, know that God is right there with you. There is no need to worry, stand still, knowing that God will fight your battle. And whenever God is on your side, there is victory each and every time!
Remember, God is waiting on you!
