Father God,
I come to ask for your help. Your Word reminds us that we can overcome all things. For this reason, I forgive all those who hurt me and ask that you allow me to release them from my spirit, heart, mind and soul. I also seek your forgiveness for those who I may have hurt. God, release and set me free to live for you and glorify your name.
I ask through the help of the Holy Spirit that dwells in me that you are helping me to do this now. I pray that this situation does not hurt my heart and won’t grieve me. By your grace, remove any hurt, grudges, offenses, rage, vengeance, and bitterness from my heart. And Lord, I pray for my offender. I pray they will turn to you and walk in your will and way. I pray that they seek forgiveness through you.
I pray, Lord, if it is your will, that you provide a reconciliation of this relationship. But God, I also pray that if this relationship no longer belongs in my life and is not of you, help me to offer unconditional love but move to the rightful relationships you have for me.
It is in Jesus Christ of Nazareth’s name, I pray. Amen.
