Father God, I come and seek you first – the kingdom of God (Matthew 6:33); please lead me to the right path you have for me. Please close the doors that are not your will and open the doors you ordained for my life. Your Word says there is a way that may seem right, but in the end, it only leads to death (Proverbs 14:12). Help me to go the right way within you.
I ask the Holy Spirit to guide and lead me as I pray this prayer. God, help me to guard my heart and thoughts against the enemy (Proverbs 4:23). I call upon you and ask that you show me what I am to do (Jeremiah 33:3). Let me know (add your specific request here). Make it clear if I should continue this path or move in a different direction. I know you are not the author of confusion, so I expect the right direction to bring peace. Thank you for allowing me to do all things through Christ, who strengthens me (Philippians 4:13). Expose what must be exposed and bring light to what must come out. Redeem me from any curses from my life, knowing that when Jesus Christ died, He nailed these curses to the cross (Galatians 3:13). Give me insight regarding what I should do. Let the Holy Spirit be my Standby, bailing me out of situations that don’t align with God’s thoughts and purposes for my life (John 14:26).
