I will be the first to admit that it is much easier for me to praise Him when things are going the way I think they should.
But the reality is this.
There will be times when things will not go your way.
There will be moments when you ask God “why?”
There will be plans that you have mapped out and created a target date but God says this is not the way. Or better yet, go this way.
So what do you do? You praise Him anyway!
Recently, I had a plan to do something I thought would be a great idea. So much so, I began planning, creating great ideas and moving forward, but then I knew God was telling me to go another way. A little confused and frustrated, I decided to follow His plans. Soon, I realized that His plans were not only better, but it actually turned out to be a bigger blessing for me!
The Bible tells us in Habakkuk 3:17-18
Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines, the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls, Yet, I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation.
Just as we see in the scripture, no matter what happens we should rejoice in the Lord. We have to remember that God can see all the way down the road; however we are only able to see a few blocks ahead.
So while I do know that sometimes the road can get rough and sometimes you are not able to see how you will make it through, stand still. Praise Him anyway, because I know that He will pull you through!
Thanks and take care!
