I think we’ve all been there. You know, where we worried more than we trusted Him. We worried about that issue that kept us up all night and we wondered whether we would be able to make it through.
I can recall a time when I was worried. I was summoned to court to testify against someone. As the day approached, I was afraid and fearful. I had so many thoughts of defeat. I thought that I would not be able to win.
But God.
He stepped in.
Not only did I win, the fact of the matter is, I didn’t have to testify. I stood in the back of the court as I watched my victory unfold before my very eyes!
I then recalled Psalms 23:4, “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me!”
So how do you stop worrying? You stand on His Word! Knowing that all things will work for your good, not some, but ALL!
I can recall another time when someone came against my family. So, as a result, I worried. I worried that it would always be this way. I worried that I would not be able to move pass this. I just worried.
But God.
Again.
Just when I thought God didn’t hear my prayers. Just when I thought God could handle everything else but this. Just when I thought I was defeated, He stepped in at the nick of time.
Then He led me to this scripture. “Fear not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will show to you today: for the Egyptians whom you have seen today, you shall see them again no more forever.” (Exodus 14:13).
And do you know what? I no longer saw this person from that day forward and God truly worked it out! What I thought was impossible God knew it was possible!
So as I write this on my way to Dallas. As my mind desires to worry about the Ebola outbreak, but I know better. I now know the secret to no longer worry.
There is no need to worry. God is the same God yesterday, today and tomorrow. Just like He did it before, He will do it again.
I realized the only way to stop worrying is ….yes, you guessed it… Just don’t do it!
Be anxious for nothing but in everything by prayer and supplication let your request be known unto God.
