This weekend I was able to put together our thank you’s to all of the people who blessed us with gifts for our son. I estimated the number of stamps I would need and asked my mom to pick them up for me. However, as I began to go down my list, I realized I didn’t have everyone listed. The number of stamps I told her I needed initially would not be enough and I would definitely need more.
Immediately,I sent her a text asking for 100 stamps and as soon as I hit send, my mom was pulling up at my house. She said, “Here’s 100 stamps.” I said, “Thank you! I just sent you a text asking for this.” She said, “I didn’t get your text but I knew this was what you needed.”
Isaiah 65:24 in the ESV says “Before they call I will answer; while they are yet speaking I will hear.” What are you in need of today? What are you asking God for this day? Whatever it is, be confident in knowing that He knows your needs and He’s making provisions for you, oftentimes before you even ask Him! He knows what you need, how you need it and when you need it so you can trust Him to provide. Because before you open your mouth in prayer, He has already opened His hand in provision.
