A few months ago, I had a specific prayer request. It was my desire God open a particular door for me. As a result, I decided to fast until something happened. Shortly after the start of my fast, the nation learned about the harmful effects of COVID-19. At that moment, I thought surely with everything happening at that time; there was no way I would prevail. I could not see how God could move since everything around me had come to a sudden halt.
That night, I decided to give up on the fast because doubt knocked at my door.
But then God reminded me of a family member who fasted for quite some time for a miracle. For months, it seemed impossible, but this person never gave up. After months passed, this family member finally obtained the breakthrough needed! This small reminder encouraged me to continue my fast despite how it appeared in the natural!
More time passed by, but shortly after two weeks or so, I received a phone call! It was the answer to my prayer!! Right in the middle of a pandemic, God showed me that nothing is (STILL) impossible with Him (Luke 1:37)!
Despite everything that is going on right now, know that God can still answer that prayer that you have hidden in your heart. The Bible reminds us that some things only come by prayer and fasting (Matthew 17:21). If you want to see a breakthrough, do more for God. It is in this place that He will not only hear you but answer you.
