By now, you’ve probably seen the magazine cover. Opinions of many heard all across the world as the image literally takes your breath away. It is not my intent however, to discuss the cover or the criticism. My focus is on Christ and the Christian.
Christ is our perfect example as Christians to how we should respond to situations like these and we have one responsibility and that is, to show love. Always love the sinner more than you hate the sin. That doesn’t mean to not hate the sin but remember that loving a person is crucial. Ephesians 5:1-2 says “Be imitators of God…and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us.” That is how we let our light shine before men. And although darkness is all around us, the light of Jesus Christ shines even brighter when it’s dark. Only Jesus Christ can bring about a true transformation. For if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation!
