Driving to work this morning, stopped at a red light, at a busy intersection, I see a man sitting on a crate, smoking a cigarette, drinking a beer and holding a sign that read “NEED HELP.” I looked at him and he looked at me and for some reason, I felt led to help him. I smiled at him and he smiled back at me. I looked down to get some change to give to him, expecting him to be close to my car when I raised my head but to my surprise, he wasn’t. He was still sitting on the crate, holding the sign that read “NEED HELP.”
James says what does it profit if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. Don’t ask God to guide your footsteps if you’re not willing to move your feet! What good is it for Him to tell us the way to go if we don’t start walking! We have to get on our knees and pray, then get on our feet and start walking! Don’t just believe you can do it, DO IT! Let’s be people of God whose actions line up with what we believe and once our actions show God our faith, He’ll bless us with His faithfulness! In the words of Mary Mary “Go get it! Go get it! Go get your blessings!”
