Scripture Reading: “Death and life are in the power of the tongue; and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.”
(Proverbs 18:21 KJV)
One of the surest ways to obtain victory is speaking it into the atmosphere! Whatever you want to see God do in your life, you first have to declare and decree it has already been done. If your finances are low, declare “God will provide all of my needs (Philippians 4:19).” If you need a healing, declare “By His stripes I am already healed (Isaiah 53:5).” And if you are not walking in your Godly confidence, declare “God has made me fearfully and wonderfully (Psalm 139:14).” Whatever you want God to do in your life, you have to put it into the atmosphere and you will be amazed that it will come to pass.
Give God back His Word!
One scripture I absolutely love in the bible is Numbers 23:19, which reminds us God is not a man that He shall lie, so if He says it, it will come to pass! Whatever you are facing and you want to see a change in your life, you have to give God back His word. The Bible also tells us in Isaiah 55:11, that God’s word will never return void. Isn’t that great to know? Unlike some of your friends, family or colleagues, whatever God promises us, He will do. We simply have to know the word and when trials and tribulations come against us, remind ourselves of the word of God.
The power of the tongue
Most importantly, it is so important to be careful with every single word that comes out of your mouth. If you say statements such as, “If it is not one thing, it is another,” “I can’t seem to never get ahead,” or “It is always going to be like this,” chances are it will always be that way. Be careful with your words!
Just as our scripture states, death and life are in the power of the tongue. So whatever you are facing, speak your way through.
