One day, shortly after waking up, I heard keys jingle in my home. While I knew what I heard, I wasn’t quite sure where my keys were. After a short search, I found my keys on the countertop—there was no way that the sound was physical but spiritual.
At that moment, I knew the sound was from God. I heard a still voice that reminded me that I had the keys to the kingdom!
But what does that mean? That morning, I took time to do some deep research. I read devotions and the Word of God and asked the Holy Spirit to reveal the meaning of the “keys.”
God has entrusted us with the keys to victory here on earth. Regardless of the challenges we face, we have the authority of Jesus Christ (when we accept Him as our Lord and Saviour).
Matthew 16:19 tells us “I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you lose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”
On that day, I was profoundly praying about a particular petition. While I knew God would one day answer, I was completely burdened while I waited for His reply. But after the revelation, I knew that God was telling me that I had the authority in the name of Jesus Christ to open the door to blessings and close the door to the enemy immediately!
I received that Word and began writing declarations. It included binding what I didn’t want to see and releasing God’s promises. Here is an example of my declarations:
- I loose peace, joy, happiness, and the strength of the Lord in the name of Jesus Christ.
- I loose victory, love, success, the wisdom of God, and insight in my life in the name of Jesus Christ.
- I bind strongholds, confusion, strife, envy, sadness, depression, and anything not of God out of my life in the name of Jesus Christ.
- I bind sickness, poverty, relationship issues, and business failures in the name of Jesus Christ.
On that day, I felt a complete shift in the atmosphere. It was the breakthrough I needed. And you, too, can experience a similar change. By binding those things that are not of God from your life and loosing the blessings of God, you can find reassurance and peace in the authority you have been given.
