I’ll be the first to admit, there are a few dreams I laid down. When the going got tough, I just got going! For some reason or another, I thought when God gave me a promise it was to happen a certain way or within a certain time frame. However, this is not always the case. I now understand that when God gives a promise, it doesn’t mean it will happen today or tomorrow nor does it mean it will be free of trials and tribulations.
Understanding this, I decided to reclaim my dreams. And guess what? They have come to pass!
Now I continue to hold on to His promises. And more importantly, I tuck all of His promises away in my heart and believe that they shall come to pass at the appointed time. God tells us in His Word that He is not a man that shall lie. If He said it, we have to believe it will come to pass.
For this reason, I now rely on the power of the Holy Spirit to help me cipher through the truth and the devil’s lies. Remember, John 10:10 reminds us that the devil’s goal is to steal, kill and destroy our dreams, destiny and future.
BUT GOD!
But Christ has come so that we may have life and more of it! He promises His best is yet to come! He says don’t worry my son or daughter and fear not! I will do a great and new thing in your life! But the truth is you have to believe. Believe like no other.
Believe again! Declare His promises daily! Ask God for His peace and covering over your mind as you continue to believe!
So, what have you laid down? Are you ready to dream again? Not only dream, but dream big! Stand on His Word. Remember, He tells us that if we ask and believe, we will receive!
