Have you ever been at a point in your life where you felt you were at a crossroad? You had to make a decision whether to stand still or move forward, speak or hold your tongue, or simply plan for the future or linger in the past.
Stand on His Word
You are not alone. Many of us come to a point in our lives where we have to make a big decision. The great news is – we do not have to do it alone. We can trust God’s plan for our lives. The Bible reminds us that the Lord is our shepherd (Psalm 23:1). So, for this reason we can trust He will not only lead us; but lead us to the best place for us. He also tells us in His word, if we trust in His plans above our own, He will continue to direct our paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).
The Spirit will lead you to truth
More importantly, once we have accepted God as Lord and Savior over our lives, He provides us with a Comforter, the Holy Spirit (John 16:13). The Holy Spirit dwells in us so that we may be able to discern between a great or not so great decision. He simply gives us peace. But the key is we have to tap into this power on a daily basis. One of the most profound but simple prayers I have included in my prayer life is:
Holy Spirit, show me what to do!
This one liner has been incredible for me and simply has power! I have repeated this phrase three to four times, before going to bed or waking in the morning and have obtained incredible results. So, if you are a place where you simply need to know what to do, call upon the name of Jesus Christ today, there is power in His name!
