Throughout the Bible, there are many promises of God. But oftentimes when we are presented with problems we quickly put our fear into action instead of our faith.
In Mark 4:35-41, it speaks of Jesus traveling with His disciples in a boat. But as they cross, a great windstorm occurred (v36). This is no different in our lives. There are certain promises God has already beckoned into our spirit, but when the storms come we tend to no longer believe.
God will do what He said He will do
What you need to know today, just as the disciples failed to realize, that even during the storms God is with you. Also, you have to hold on to His promises. Whatever God has told you in the light you simply have to believe in the dark. During those stormy times, you have to recall His promises in the Word. He promises:
- You shall be healed (Mark 3:34)
- There is hope in your future (Jeremiah 31:17)
- You will have more than enough (Philippians 4:19)
- Your marriage shall be healed or come to pass (Mark 10:7)
- You will have success in your career (Joshua 1:8)
- There is nothing impossible with God (Mark 9:23)
- Everything will work together for our good (Romans 8:28)
How will you react when storms come your way? Will you stand on God’s promises or throw in the towel, surrendering to fear. Just as God was with them during their storm, He is right here with us now.
Remember: God is waiting on you!
