I wrote an article some time ago titled Because He Stood in My Place. That piece really resonated with me. Why? Because after thinking about all the things I have done, going about life my own way and simply being disobedient to the Heavenly Father, He decided to stand in my place on Calvary (Galatians 3:13).
He died for you and me!
I know you may take this lightly or the thought may fly over your head, but don’t miss this. Jesus Christ of Nazareth stood in our place the day He was crucified not for His sins or mistakes but for ours. How awesome is that? To bring it home, when we decided to do that “sinful action” that no one knows, He protected us and covered us. When we decided to go about things our way and neglect the Word of God, He died just for that. When He suffered and died on the cross, He took away our sins and more importantly bearing our burdens that we deserved.
He is all so merciful
The Word tells us that God is a merciful God and His mercy is new every morning (Lamentations 3:22). Each day God is showing His great and powerful mercy. Because He loves us so much and His desire is for us to spend eternity with Him and save us from the pits of hell.
For this very reason, He is with us each and every day so that we can be free from all that has kept us in bondage for so long. In Galatians 5:1, it reminds us to stand fast and be free. Also, it instructs us to not be entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
He is worthy to be praise!
Today, God is calling us to walk in His ways and truth. He is also calling us to worship Him! I love the song, I Worship You, by Mary Mary. In this song, the women give many reasons why we should simply praise Him.
We should praise Him because we were blind, but now we are able to see.
We were empty but now we are full.
He took all that we were and now He has made us to whom we are today!
For these reasons, we ought to praise Him and give Him thanks!
Remember, God is waiting on You!
