In Mark 5:25 – 34, it discusses a woman who had suffered a blood disease for 12 long years. After trying all medicines, seeking the help of many doctors, and spending down to her last dime she decided she would then try Jesus!
It only got worse!
In this passage, it mentions after she had try all these avenues that it only grew worse! Can you imagine? Have you even been in a situation where you sought help from your friends, called 911 or even made an appointment with the pastor but still no results!? Why?! Because you neglected to try Jesus first!
She came up….
It was only after she decided to rise above the crowd when she was able to obtain her victory. Are you rising above the crowd today!? Get away from uncleanliness, rise from unholiness and be determined to get Jesus’ attention!
See there was something different about this woman. Even Jesus’ disciples didn’t understand why Jesus questioned who touched him when there was so many around, but Jesus recognized that was something different about this touch. He recognized his power immediately left him upon her touch.
Have faith!
She believed if she only touched Him, she would be made whole! Do you believe God can do something miraculous in your life today? It states that immediately she was made whole! If you reach out and have faith, He promises He can make you whole!
Her belief power was powerful!
Immediately upon her touching His garments, Jesus felt power leaving His body. Her power was so powerful Jesus immediately asked who touch me?! Afraid and scared she fell before him and told him the whole truth. And He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace and be healed of your affliction.” (Mark 5:34 NASB)
If you are in place where you have tried it all, did what the world told you to do and still find yourself back to square one, stretch out your hand to Jesus. He promises to make you whole!
