Abba Father,
I ask that You protect my spouse from all harm, violence, diseases, and destruction (Psalm 91). I ask God to order my spouse’s steps so that no iniquity would fall upon them (Psalm 119:133). I pray my spouse submits to You in everything. Allow my spouse to love me as Jesus Christ loves the church.
God, I ask that my marriage provides honesty, Godliness, love, faithfulness, respect, and commitment. Thank you for giving me the knowledge and wisdom to make the right decisions concerning my marriage. I pray the Holy Spirit will continue to guide us throughout our lives. I plead the blood of Jesus Christ over our union and ask that you place a hedge of protection around our marriage.
Keep it free from infidelity, toxic outside relationships, worldly things, and anything that will draw us away from each other and, more importantly, from you. I pray we have unmerited favor with each other and ultimate favor with You.
I know nothing is impossible with you, My Lord. Please allow love and harmony to flow freely within our marriage and help us always glorify You.
Wife’s Prayer: God, I ask that you bless the work of my husband’s hands (allow him to be known respectfully at the city gates). Please give me a noble character so that my husband can lack nothing of value. Let me always bring him good and not evil for all the days of our lives. I pray he does the same for me (Proverbs 31). God, cover my husband with the blood of the lamb. Bless and enlarge our territory and keep us from all hurt and pain. It is in Jesus Christ’s name; I pray, Amen.
Husband’s Prayer: I ask that You bless my wife in every area of her life. I ask that you place a hedge of protection around her so that even when she is not with me, she is covered by Your feathers. Give her the ability to love me as her husband, pursue her calling and purpose, and provide nurture and kindness to our household. I pray I would be a vessel allowing her love to flow as I nourish her to be the woman God has called her to be.
