My husband and I recently moved into our new home – insert MAJOR EXCITEMENT here!
If you know us, you know that we previously lived in a two-bedroom, one-bath, outside washer and dryer home with our two kids. So, we desperately needed more space. However, it was only after getting married in 2014, having our first child in 2016, and having our second child in 2017 (don’t judge us?) that we realized we needed more space!
Flashback to 2014, the year we were married, when God allowed the previous owner of our current home to build a brand new home that, with no exaggeration, had everything we wanted and, most importantly, needed in a home. The day before we closed on our house, we stopped by to thank her for allowing the acquisition process to go so smoothly. She said, “When I built this home in 2014, I thought it was for me, but God confirmed that He was building it for YOU.”
As I write this, tears fall from my face because, in 2014, we were beginning our lives together; we didn’t know what we would need, but God knew.
Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I KNOW the plans I have for you, declares the Lord.” Can we stop right there? God has plans for YOU! He’s working behind the scenes at this very moment, planning for what you will need in your future—things that you don’t even realize you need now!
But because He knows your future, He promises to supply your needs; He’s taking the time RIGHT NOW, not just to provide your daily needs, but to plan for all of your future needs! WOW!
Every experience God gives us, every person He puts in our lives, is the perfect preparation for a future only He can see—one that you can trust will have everything you need!
