I want to remind you to speak back to your fears!
Recently, my 3 year old nephew started a brand new school. This school is quite different from his familiar territory – a nursery – and he has moved to “big boy” school. Along with this move came a new set of challenges – one being to overcome his fear to walk up a long flight of stairs.
After learning about this – my sister instructed my nephew to speak back to his fears! She jokingly told him to scream, “I am not afraid of no steps!” And guess what – he did just that. Now, anytime he is afraid of anything – he not only screams he is not afraid but she has taught him to declare that He can do all things through Christ!
Just like my nephew, this is what God wants of us. He wants us to speak back to our fears that sometimes plague our minds. And He wants us to not only speak it but also believe it!
The word tells us in James 1:6, but when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed in the wind.
When the devil tells you won’t be able to do this – speak back Luke 1:37 that reminds us that all things are possible with Him!
When the devil tells you won’t be healed – speak back Isaiah 53:5 that reminds us that by His stripes we are healed!
Whatever fear plagues your mind, you simply must speak back God’s Word! And just like my nephew, you will experience victory on the other side!
Remember: God is waiting on you!
