She said, “Can I talk to you?” I said, “Of course!” She said, “I have been fasting and praying, giving my tithes, obeying the Lord, and walking faithfully with Him. Why has He allowed me to experience such pain?”
I honestly could not answer her question because the truth is I didn’t know. Have you ever asked yourself why does God allow us as believers to go through hard times?
There are many reasons why God allows trials and tribulations in our lives. They test us, help our perseverance, make us humble, build our faith and teach us to depend on Him. I’ve also learned in my life that sometimes we suffer because of our own mistakes and as a result of our choices, God disciplines us. However, through it all, through the pain, through the worrying and even through the tears, we must learn to DEPEND ON JESUS! To TRUST that everything you’re going through is preparing you for what you’re going to. “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” When you can’t see His hand, trust His heart.
