Many times in life, we often encounter disappointments. It’s in these moments that we start to question God. We question if He will ever be able to meet our needs?
It’s in these moments we have to trust God like never before.
- Trust Him beyond what we can see.
- Trust He is working things out for our good.
- Trust that He knows what is best for us.
Here are 5 scriptures you can use when you experience life’s disappointments.
- Isaiah 45:2 I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron.
This is a scripture I often cling to. Even though things may look crooked, God will straighten all the crooked places in my life! Therefore, I don’t have to worry. The Word of God promises that everything will work out in the end! That’s great to know, isn’t it?
2. Psalm 107:13 Then they cried unto the Lord in their trouble, and he saved them out of their distresses.
I often call the 107th book of Psalm my emergency passage. It allows me to really cry out to the Lord! He promises here that we can cry out to Him and He WILL deliver us from all that we are stressing about. I encourage you to call out to Him today. It will be the best decision you can make.
3. Psalm 30: 1-3 I will extol thee, O Lord; for thou hast lifted me up, and hast not made my foes to rejoice over me. 2O LORD my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me. 3 O LORD, thou hast brought up my soul from the grave: thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.
How powerful is this? We know that sometimes in life, we may feel like we are in a pit or at our lowest point. But God tells us here that we can cry unto Him, and He will heal us. We will be rescued from the grave so that we will not fall into a pit! It is God’s promise that He can, and that He WILL, lift us up!
4. Joel 2:25 And I will restore to you the years that the locust hat eaten the cankerworm, and the caterpillar, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.
Know that whatever you have gone through in this season, God can restore. God is a great restorer and a rewarder to those who trust in Him. Ask God to restore your joy, happiness, peace, and relationship with Him!
5. Isaiah 65: 17 For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth and the former shall not be remembered nor come into mind.
Know this, whatever you have lost, God can do a new and better thing! Release your dreams, hopes, goals, and life to Him. Ask Him to do a new thing in your life! Make it a point to ask Him where He would bring you in this time in your life! If God has removed something, a relationship, an opportunity, as long as you continue to pray – He will lead you to something higher and better! Let God have His way!
