If you have lived long enough, you have grown to understand there will be moments in your life where you are certain to ask God, “Why?” In these moments you have to be diligent in your prayer life and study time with God.
All things work for good
The Bible reminds us not to lean unto our own limited understanding but to trust in the Lord (Proverbs 3:5-6). In addition, it reminds us to acknowledge Him and He will direct our paths. It also states, while we may not understand it now, every single thing will work together for good (Romans 8:28). See, we have to remember – our lives are similar to making a cake. While the eggs, butter, and flour may not taste so good by their lonesome, the mixture of the items together can create something truly magical. This is no different in our lives. God is mixing and molding us and transforming us into His likeness. Remember, He says we are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14).
Stand on His promises
No matter how it looks or feels, stand on His promises for your life. Declare and decree and put God’s promises into the atmosphere (Proverbs 18:21). Locate scriptures and pray them daily until something happens. The Bible reminds us God is not a man that lies, if He said it – it is so (Numbers 23:19)! Also, it tells us the promises are yes to each believer (2 Corinthians 1:20). So believe in His word and have faith something is going to change. More importantly rebuke the lies of the devil. Be mindful what you are thinking about each day. Any thought that does not align with God’s word – dismiss it immediately. Remember, it is the devil’s desire to get your mind off the promises of God and to doubt God’s promises shall come to pass.
Keep pressing forward
God reminds us to not let our past determine our future. In Jeremiah 31:17, it reminds us, “There is hope in your future!” While you may have had a terrible past, God can give you an incredible restart. In Ecclesiastes 7:8, it states, “Better is an end of a thing than the beginning thereof.” Keep pressing, pushing and praying! God will do a great thing in your life!
