1. Forgive the person and release your hurt to the Lord

2. Ask God not to allow this to grieve you

3. Request God to give you the strength to walk away if this is not a relationship you should continue

4. Ask God to pour His love into you so you know your value is in Him, not man
“The Lord hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.” — Jeremiah 31:3
“Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life.” — Isaiah 43:4
5. Request the Holy Spirit to guide your steps so you can carry out your purpose and calling

6. Be thankful you are not living in darkness and ask God to reveal what you need to know
“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.” — 1 Peter 2:9
“Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.” — Jeremiah 33:3
7. Forgive yourself and forgive God if you’ve blamed Him for your pain

“If thou, Lord, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand? But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.” — Psalm 130:3–4
8. Release your emotions to God and ask to be led by the Spirit, not emotions
“This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.” — Galatians 5:16
“Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.” — Psalm 46:10
9. Ask God to stop the plans of the enemy and expose anything hidden
“No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.” — Isaiah 54:17
“For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad.” — Luke 8:17
10. Ask for God’s will and trust Him to lead you
“Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.” — Matthew 6:10
“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” — Romans 8:28
11. Pray for God’s blessings and for Christ-centered relationships
“Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.” — 1 Corinthians 15:33
“He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.” — Proverbs 13:20
12. Ask the Holy Spirit to intercede for you
“Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.” — Romans 8:26
13. Pray for healing from hurt and restoration of joy, peace, and love
“Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness.” — Psalm 30:11
14. Pray for His plan for your life
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” — Jeremiah 29:11
15. Ask God for restoration and recompense
“And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.” — Joel 2:25
16. Believe God will reward you; bring every decision to Him
“In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” — Proverbs 3:6
“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” — Hebrews 11:6
17. Ask God to turn your pain into purpose
“But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.” — Genesis 50:20
“Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.” — 2 Corinthians 1:4
18. Pray for the betrayer — that they repent and seek God
“Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord God, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?” — Ezekiel 33:11
19. Seek God wholeheartedly through prayer and the Word
“And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.” — Jeremiah 29:13
20. Ask the Holy Spirit to counsel you, and seek godly counsel if needed
“But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.” — John 14:26

21. Praise God in the storm—when praises go up, blessings come down
